12/1/2003 - I just returned from teaching at Quest University
I was invited to be a Visiting Tutor in Humanities at Quest University in Squamish, British Columbia this Fall. I had an exciting group of students and taught Drawing as a Language in an intensive 3 1/2 week seminar. Quest University has an interesting system: the courses are not taught in the usual semester-long manner, with students carrying several courses at once, but on the block system. Students take one course at a time, for 3 1/2 weeks total immerson, which gives the opportunity for them to really concentrate on all aspects of the subject. It was exciting to teach in this intensive manner, and the students did beautiful work.

I'll be showing twenty complex new works on paper that represent "treks with my pen point instead of my boots." The exhibition is in Chelsea at the FIRST STREET GALLERY, 526 West 26th Street, Suite 209, New York City. Gallery hours are Tuesdays - Saturdays from 11 to 6 pm.  The Opening Reception is on Thursday, March 28, from 5-8 pm, and there will be an Artist Talk and Reception on Saturday, April 6, from 3-5 pm. The gallery will be closed on Good Friday.

4/1/2012 - New Studio in Long Island City
I've just moved into a wonderful light-filled studio in Long Island City, close to MOMA P.S. 1. There's a vibrant and active arts community here and I love coming to work every day and experiencing the sky through an entire wall of windows!

1/18/2011 - Feature Film Appearance
Lionsgate Films has chosen 3 of my paintings to appear in the feature film Rabbit Hole, starring Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhardt

3/2/2010 - New Studio
I've just been granted membership in The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, where I will now be included in the EFA Studios Program. I am one of only 15 artists chosen from a large pool of applicants, and the jury's decisions were based solely on the artistic merit of the work.

4/23/2008 - National Television Exposure
NBC has chosen nine of my paintings to grace the sets of Lipstick Jungle, the hot new television series by Sex And the City's writer Candace Bushnell! Here, Anubis I is seen in the bedroom of the Brooke Shields character.
